Birthday Books
Thanks to a very generous and only slightly belated birthday gift from my brother (Hi! Mark), I was able to order some books that I have been wanting for quite a while. They have been slowly trickling in by mail and I got my last one yesterday. When I have a spare minute, I have been really enjoying flipping through them. At the moment, I have so many projects that I have to get done before Christmas, but as soon as they are done, I can’t wait to sit down and have a good read. What are you reading right now, and loving?
I have the top three from your pile and they are excellent. Treats in store!
Oh my goodness–we have all the same books! K x
Those all look like fabulous choices! I’m off to check a couple of these out… 🙂
Oooooh there’s nothing like a new book! I’m doing like Charity and have to go and check them out. :o)
Books are my favorite present – they just keep on giving and giving – and that looks like a super pile of treats to look forward to! I am reading ‘Our Farm’ by Rosie Boycott at the moment (amongst others – I always seem to have 4-5 books on the go at any one time) and although I have only just started it I think it is going to be a good read. Enjoy the rest of your weekend Mx
Now that looks like a brilliant reading stash to me.
I absoloutely love Pippi Longstocking and Lauren Child’s illustration is so cool too!
Enjoy and Happy Birthday Jennifer!

Happy belated birthday!
All those books lovely, I will have to look into them as well.
Thanks everybody, I can hardly stand to look at the stack of books at the moment, because I have so many other things I need to get done before I can truly enjoy them. Hope you guys are having a great weekend.
Your books look utterly delicious. I just received the book The Sweater Chop Shop that I’m hoping to get into this week. Happy Belated Birthday.
Thank you so much for sharing your reading list. I’ve been discovering great books this way.
Thanks for the shout out sis, looks like you have quite the reading ahead of you, oh and I will let ya know how that pear custard pie turns out. 😉
Wow…those books look fantastic! I love anything by Jane Brocket and I really would love to have Homemade and also the other book by Elspeth Thompson…Wonderful Weekend book. Lucky you!!!!!
Hmmm… do you know, reading this, I realise that I haven’t really got my teeth into a book for ages. I am working so hard at the moment that when I go to bed I just flop, and the very idea of reading in the day time at the moment (running a toy shop just a few weeks before Christmas!) is almost laughable really!
And yet I love reading.
This is not right!!
Ah well, we have a little holiday booked after Christmas and I shall take a big heap. A nice mix of children’s books, novels (afraid am quite fond of a grisly murder!) and I love teenage fiction too… always have, ever since I was, well, a teenage!
Love Charlotte
xx
That book “homemade” is on my Christmas list, it’s SO lovely!
