Personally, I've only seen one type of cheesecloth at the stores here and it worked out fine. I bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. Hope that helps. It isn't necessary to fold, press and stitch both sides in the beginning though as this step on the one side is only to make the casing opening nice and tidy. I hope you like how they turn out. I thought my cheesecloth was a bit thin for this. I've since made another out of mosquito netting and it's worked out perfectly. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't cotton.
