Taking a Little Break

I’ve been doing this little blog here for a while now and have truly loved it. This past week I have struggled with feeling uninspired and overwhelmed. I’m sure it has to do with being super busy and having a hugely long to do list that is just not getting done. I’m going to take a few days off here in this space and try to get things sorted out at home. I’m hoping this will free up the creative spot in my brain that is being crushed at the moment. I will miss you while I am gone, but I believe I will be able to come back more organized and calm and ready to go. I plan on popping in next Tuesday and then being back in full force by the end of next week. I just need a little time to take care of my family, my home, the kids schooling and my tired brain. Thank you to everybody who stops by and especially to those who leave comments, I still have a hard time believing why anybody would take the time to come by, but I do appreciate it. Have a wonderful week and I’ll see you next Tuesday.

Have a nice rest away from the computer. I have felt a bit like you this past week. So much to do, there doesn’t seem enough time and something has to give. Spend some quality time with your family and have a good rest. We are not going anywhere and will be at the other end of the comments box when you return! he he! warmest wishes Vanessa xxx

Hey who said you have to blog every day, or every week, or even every month if it comes to that? Everyone needs a break sometimes! It’s not like you’re even planning a very long break. I look forward to your posts and pictures, but I’ll survive till you’re ready to come back! Hope your poor tired brain gets some R&R. xx

You go look after yourself and your loved ones, ma dear. Friends give each other space, so you take the time you need, you hear! 🙂

Don’t stress – enjoy your break. We will still be here when you get back. I don’t even have a blog and I even get stressed sometimes trying to keep up with all my favourites – so I can imagine how you must feel. I do have a compulsory self-imposed one day a week computer free so at least that shows some control!

I hear it. It’s hard to get inspired by all the gray and brown and cold and wind. I hope this break brings you rejuvination!

Have some good time off getting things done. We’ve had a particularly busy and somewhat overwhelming February. I’m ready for a more laid back March! Look forward to your return.

Blogging should be fun and enjoyable not another chore to burden us. Get some things done and find some head space, see you when you return!

Cooee from “Downunder” . I have travelled via Marmalade Rose and what a lovely journey it’s been.
Just enjoying the photos you took on your trip to the Dentist.Absolutely stunning, particularly the barn, mountains in background and windmill. Wonderful to be able to share your corner of the globe with people on the opposite side of the world.
We all need to take the batteries out and put them on the charger, so enjoy your ‘time out’

  21. I think blog breaks are very very important. In many ways having a blog that is updated daily or even several times a week, and commenting on others blogs is a job, a job which takes a lot more time than I ever realized. I know many many mothers who’ve begun blogs (great blogs!) and then a few months later left the blogging world. In this season of my life blogging is possible because I’m not working and don’t have children to care for, I know if I was back at work or had children I’d have to blog less and read fewer blogs.

I think it can take some time to work out what is right for you, for some that is blogging a couple of days a week, for others once a week, for others weekdays but not weekends. I think taking a break and looking at your life is always healthy, as is figuring out what you want to do and what you have time to do, so I hope you enjoy! :0)

I know the feeling! Sometimes real life just has to take first place. I have just posted the link to the apron pattern on my blog – maybe you might take some time to make something pretty for yourself. Hope you find your way through.

Oh we all need a bit of R&R…
and sometimes it really is amazing how long it takes to post and write and comment and chat…and not forgetting the just surfing around the net…
I too find it hard to get around to all the jobs I need to get finished and find I need those extra few hours to just be with the family and make them feel special…
    Hope you enjoy your break…
