It’s amazing how material things can carry memories – and good to be able to discard them and the memories. I love your makeup bag on the post below – I think it would have taken me half a day to do that – I am a bit phobic about zips!

To be honest, they weren’t close friends before, I guess it was just that I liked the plant. Oh well, having it wasn’t worth the memories. So much better now.

I guess it’s one of these things, it probably took you so long to get rid of it because they were good friends to start with? So you needed some time to put that former friendly relationship to an end in your own mind. New year, new start. That’s how it should always be. But it does seem silly that all it takes is a new calendar to force us into action! x
