Chocolate Almond Coconut Cake

Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum!!!!!!! I recently came across Sheena’s blog the little red house and am absolutely loving it. I spied a post for this cake, and immediately knew I was going to try it. I have been looking for the perfect chocolate cake recipe for quite some time, and I do believe I have found it. It was moist, chocolatey with just a hint of almond, which basically makes it perfect. I made the cake for our Easter supper with my mom and it was a big hit. This will definitely be my go to chocolate cake, thanks Sheena. What is your favourite cake? Do you prefer a decadent chocolatey masterpiece, or a humble plain cake with fruit and cream?

I want a piece! I do love chocolate and coconut together — fabulous!

As for my favorite chocolate cake, it’s on the back of the Hershey’s Cocoa box. Underbake the layers slightly to ensure moistness. Make 2 recipes of frosting because, in my opinion, a single recipe is skimpy. This is one super chocolate cake. I’ve had great-grandmas to beg me for “my” recipe!

  7. Hello, I tried this cake recipe some days ago but somehow couldn’t get the same result as you, my cake clearly wasn’t looking that good (atleast it tasted good). What sort of chocolate are you using? Maybe it’s coming from the flour I used, i’m gluten intelorant so I used tapioca flour instead of normal wheat flour.
