we're having homemade pizza tonight, we love it in our house! I use a different recipe for my pizza sauce from the once that i use for pasta though...my pasta sause has alot of tomato puree (tomato paste?) in it which makes it coat the pasta rather than sliding of it, it's the way my husband likes pasta suace to be. Your recipe sounds delicious and your photo of pizza is making me hungry for tea-time to arrive!

I love a big dish that can be used for more than one meal, I make extra when we have chilli and serve the rest the next day wrapped in puff pastry. We call it savory slice and the children love it with potato wedges.

Oh that looks yummy. And you're so clever with your sauce batch.

I make casseroles that we sometimes eat several nights in a row (I know, so boring even though it's very yummy) when we're lazy, otherwise I freeze it for short-of-time-nights and the nights when we're just lazy. When I had an oven I also used to make quiches and freeze it in pieces. Bolognese is another excellent food to make a big batch and then freeze in smaller boxes.

Hope you're feeling better today.

brandy, I make two pizzas and have a huge salad and chopped veggies which makes the pizza go farther. I make the dough in my bread machine so I know it takes exactly an hour and a half to be ready to roll out. I always have the kids start out with veggies first so they're not starving when the pizza is out, then one is enough to get everybody at least one piece while the other one is cooking.

My pizza dough recipe is 1 1/4 cups water, 2 tbsps oil, 3/4 tsp salt, 3 1/4 cups flour and 1 1/2 tsp salt. Dump in bread machine and hit dough cycle. I divide this in half and make two pizzas. Hope you enjoy!

That looks so yummy! Our family loves spaghetti and pizza so this sounds like a GREAT idea to me. Saturday night is our movie night! Just curious... does that one pizza feed all six of you? We love homemade pizza, but getting the timing of the rising dough and getting 2-3 (my kids eat an insane amount of pizza!) pizzas in the oven is tricky for me. So tell me... how do you do it?! Also,I'd love your recipe for pizza dough if you make your own!

I like to make things in big enough quantities so we have enough for another meal - so four portions in all. It's convenient, and I find things always taste better when you cook in bulk. But then there's only 2 of us to feed so it's relatively easy to make stuff in bulk.
